Being the founder and co-owner of the prestige’s leading Design company “Brand van Egmond” worldwide very well known for its Lighting Sculptures I have shown my talents in designing Lighting Products. Now I have started a new journey with Miss Solar Light. Still working on Design Lighting however I have made the decision to apply part of the revenues that I am planning to generate to contribute to a better more sustainable world.

Miss Solar Light is at the point of launching its first products to the market. That’s why I am looking for a (Product) Manager. In this position I would like to see someone that understands Start up’s and accepts the fact that next to (co) defining the Product Roadmap also the daily activities related to manufacturing, sales and physical distribution need attention.

Tasks

• (Co) defining the Product Roadmap;
• If not by yourself, than in cooperation with suppliers and partners, generating and dealing with all necessary documents ( Product documentation, User Manuals, Contracts, Guarantee issues etc.);
• The daily communication with the suppliers about the progress of the manufacturing and the Logistics related to that;
• The communication and control of the fulfilment process fort the processing of the orders;
• Communication and follow up with the distribution partners and the NGO’s that we work closely with;
• All the administrative actions related to the daily operation of Miss Solar Light;
• On a daily basis management of the existing team.

Team

The Miss Solar Team today includes next to me as the Founder and Owner of the company for the time being a Design Engineer and a Graphic Designer. Our Manufacturing partner is in Taiwan, distribution is planned to be global.

• Considerations about the new Hire:
• A College Graduate level of thinking ,working and attitude;
• Enterpreneurial, understands what needs to be done;
• A positive, “can do” mentality;
• Abel to work independedly however willing and able to cooperate and align;
• Good command of the Dutch and Englisch language , both verbal and in writing.

In fact a person that understands my vision and mission and that likes to work with me and the small team around me in a Start Up environment , enjoys that and is eager to make a success out of it.

Location and Timing

• Location is in Bussum in my Studio. However it will be possible to partly execute the tasks from a different location;
• Being a Start up we are looking for someone that is flexible in his or her time allocation. I expect an immediate need for 4 day’s a week. Following further successes of the company it’s obvious that this than grow to a full time employment.

Compensation
The benefits will be in line with the requirements for the job and the state of the company at this moment. Is there a match than we will certainly find the right package. Next to the compensation I would also consider a certain level of ownership in the company.
