Annet van Egmond, a designer inspired by Nature
Already for more than 28 years Annet van Egmond belongs to the leading Lighting designers in the world. She has been the Co- founder and Co- owner of the famous “Brand van Egmond” company that is globally known for it’s outstanding Iconic Lighting sculptures. During this part of her career, Annet got her inspiration for her designs from Nature.
Miss Nightingale and WWF
Nature and conservation of wildlife have gotten into her heart travelling through South Africa where she has been living and working with the local rangers and conservationists. She got touched and inspired by their dedication, passion and commitment and decided to use her talents to make a contribution to their cause.
After an intensive search for the right designs, application of technologies and the most suitable supply chain she now will introduce her first product under the Miss Solar Light Brand at the occasion of Earth Hour 2018, March 24th. It is not for no reason that this first product is branded “Miss Nightingale”. The candle is the symbol of the Light that Annet together with WWF wants to shine on Earth powered by the energy of the sun.

Annet: It is my ambition to positively impact the lives of people all over the globe. Light is the source for all the live on earth and with Miss Nightingale I can offer the opportunity to everyone on earth to generate light that is powered by the sun at the moment the sun is not shining itself.

Participate with Earth Our Event
Part of the revenues that will be generated by the sales of this product will be used by WWF for conservation projects in South Africa. There will be a raffle through which 10 products will be given out to participants of the Earth Hour event.

For 28 years nature has been my source of inspiration. Together with WNF it’s now time for me to inspire people to care about nature.
